Improvement is a powerful catalyst for change. It is important to cultivate ideas for change at a local level, especially where there is clear potential to inform and influence national practice and learning.

Service Description

The Improvement Fund is the grant making function of the Improvement Hub and will make awards between £5,000 and £75,000.

The Improvement Fund has £200,000 to award for the rest of the financial year 2016/17.

The purpose of the Improvement Fund is to give health and social care organisations the opportunity to apply for funding to design and test new solutions that will lead to measurable improvements and/or share learning and practice.

 

Status

Expressions of Interest for the Improvement Fund are no longer being accepted (as of 1 December 2016).

Audience

Health and Social Care Partnerships, Integration Authorities, NHS Boards, housing organisations and the third, independent sectors involved in the improvement of the quality of health and social care services.

Benefits of programme

All Improvement Fund awards will be linked to the national health and wellbeing outcomes and evaluated over the period of the award. The learning from the projects will be shared regularly.
