As urgent care is not just available and delivered at hospital, the national review of Primary Care Out Of Hours services has made a number of recommendations that will require changes at both a national and a local level. Some of these changes will require the use of quality improvement approaches to explore, develop and test different ways of providing care in the out of hours period.
During the first half of 2016/17 the Primary Care Out of Hours programme will work with stakeholders to design a national quality improvement programme that supports implementation of the recommendations of the National Review of Primary Care Out of Hours Services.
