Strategic planners have a unique world view that plays a vital role in the planning and development of health and care services and support. Strategic planning provides valuable insight on what support should be provided and how it should be provided.
The roles involved in strategic planning are less formally recognised career pathways than other roles within health and social care. We have recently published a Good Practice Skills for Strategic Planning resource to articulate the function and role of strategic planning and identify the skills and competencies relevant for strategic planners.
If you work within the strategic planning teams within NHS boards or HSCPs then please join us to for a virtual launch event that will
- Explore the detail of the resource
- Discuss how to use it to support the ongoing professional development of your teams
- Hear experiences from planners in NHS Boards and HSCPs who have already started to use the resource
- Learn about the support you can access in its implementation.
Access and download the resource.
