The People-Led Care Team would like to invite delegates to attend a National Learning Event for the New Models for Learning Disability Day Support Collaborative.
In this session the Team will present the findings from Phase 1 of the Collaborative, highlighting the key areas for development and the key considerations required for undertaking design in this service area. There will be an opportunity to reflect on and discuss the findings with the team.
We are also pleased to host members of the National Involvement Network (NIN) who will present on the Charter for Involvement and reflect on the experiences of people during the COVID-19 pandemic, what can be improved and what this means going forward.
In the final part of the event we will host a ‘round table discussion’ that draws from the Phase 1 learning. The discussion will be framed around staff empowerment and supporting families to access breaks and be confident in the safety and security of day support services.
The event will be of interest to managers and operational staff of learning disability day support services, other health and social care learning disability services, third and independent sector providers, advocacy and carer organisations and to anyone with an interest in learning disability day support.
