During the session you’ll hear two speakers share the learning around using a quality management system (QMS) approach to reducing cardiac arrest rate at NHS Lothian. This session is part of the SPSP Acute Adult webinar series.

Dr Gregor McNeill, National Clinical Lead for SPSP Acute Adult at Healthcare Improvement Scotland and Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at NHS Lothian, and Carolyn Swift, Quality and Safety Improvement Lead and SPSP Lead at NHS Lothian will:

  • Share learning and experience of using a Quality Management System (QMS) approach to significantly reduce cardiac rates in NHS Lothian
  • Reflect on Deteriorating Patient process and outcome variation before and after the use of a QMS
  • Share how NHS Lothian is measuring & monitoring safety within a QMS, and its development over time
