Evidence and Evaluation for Improvement Team

Who are we?

The Evidence and Evaluation for Improvement Team (EEvIT) consists of specialists from information science, health services research and health economics.

What do we do?

We support ihub teams to ensure that improvement work is informed by the latest evidence and help the teams to evaluate their work. We also work with health and social care partners to use evidence and evaluation in their work.

We develop resources to support teams with evidence and evaluation requirements.

We believe that quality improvement initiatives should be informed by best available evidence. To support this, we undertake reviews of research findings and emerging practice relating to the integration of health and social care. In addition we capture and share learning from ihub improvement work supported by us.

The motion graphic below gives an introduction to how we work:

Another aspect of our role is evidence searches which we conduct to inform service improvement and redesign. We want to further develop our offer in this area and therefore would like to hear from NHS boards and Integration Authorities regarding their evidence requirements in support of improvement work.
