Dementia in Hospital updates

Learning session 9 (November 2022): Dementia in hospitals teams attended their ninth learning session which focused on using their qualitative data templates with a team from NHS Forth Valley giving an example of this.

 

Learning session 8 (September 2022): Dementia in hospitals teams attended their eighth learning session which focused on teams bringing their questions along to a quality improvement drop in session.

 

Learning Session 7 (July 2022): Dementia in hospitals teams attended their seventh learning session which focused on understanding and using qualitative data and also allowed an opportunity to engage with other teams.

 

Learning session 6 (May 2022): Dementia in hospitals teams attended their sixth learning session which focused on their theory of change using the collaborative driver diagram, and how to implement changes. A team from Jubilee Hospital, NHS Grampian shared their work on using Getting to Know Me, data collection and memory boxes.

 

Learning session 5 (March 2022): Dementia in hospital teams attended their fifth learning session which focused on reviewing their progress with testing and data collection. A team from NHS Dumfries & Galloway shared examples of their work around ‘This is me’ poster and the Focus on Dementia Clinical Leads (AHP/Psychology) were introduced to make connections with the teams.

 

Learning session 4 (October 2021): Dementia in hospitals teams attended their fourth learning session which was a refresh session on data. The session covered different types of data, and how data is used to show improvement in run charts. Ward 212/213 (Orthopaedic) from NHS Grampian presented their work on improving the use of Getting to Know Me.

 

Learning session 3 (August 2021): Dementia in hospitals teams attended their third learning session which looked at how change ideas influence the collaborative aim and how to undertake PDSAs. Teams provided updates on their work and planned their next PDSA.

 

Learning session 2 (July 2021): Dementia in hospitals teams attended their second learning session which focused on data and measurement, including the use of data collection tools.

 

Learning session 1 (June 2021): Dementia in hospitals teams attended their first learning session since the re-launch of the collaborative. The focus was to welcome teams back and introduce the new focus of the collaborative as person-centred care planning. The session also included a refresher of QI methodology.
