Specialist Dementia Unit Network

Focus on Dementia, in conjunction with NHS Education for Scotland and Alzheimer Scotland have developed the Specialist Dementia Units Learning and Improvement Network.  Our aim is to build a community of staff who can network with each other to learn and share best practice and improve the support provided by Specialist Dementia Units throughout Scotland.

The network is open to all those involved in the work of delivering Specialist Dementia Care in Scotland including:

  • Frontline staff providing care in Specialist Dementia Units
  • Those involved in the planning, commissioning and management of units, and
  • Those working in both NHS provided units and those working for other providers.
