Adaptations Working Group’s report
The Adaptations Working Group’s final report, published in November 2012, on how to improve the delivery of housing adaptations services. In the report, a wide range of stakeholders consider the challenges and make a series of recommendations for change and improvement.

Scottish Government’s response
Following consideration of the Adaptations Working Group’s Adapting for Change (AFC) report, the Scottish Government issued its response in March 2013.

One recommendation was to invite Health and Social Care Partnerships to become AFC demonstration sites, trialling improvements and feeding into the development of national policy.

Guidance on funding of adaptations
Integrated Joint Boards are responsible for planning and providing the resources for provision of all housing adaptations, except those provided by housing associations. This guidance sets out the responsibilities of the local housing authority and the Integrated Joint Board for Council tenants and people living in the private sector.
