At this event we heard from The Mental Health Paramedic Response Unit (MHPRU) who focuses on giving the best possible care to people in mental health distress. This service signposts and utilises available pathways in each area to divert from A&E and provide the most appropriate care for each individual. This session centred on our response to people who are in crisis and challenges in providing support when substances are on board.
