Community Health and Wellbeing

Across Scotland, community organisations played a key role in supporting people’s health and wellbeing during COVID-19.  Due to the impact on statutory services and a rapidly changing context community organisations were are the forefront of organising and delivering services that were critical during this time.

The pandemic was the catalyst for increased collaborative working between statutory services and community organisations.  This resulted in an unprecedented response and adaption of ways of working that benefited communities across Scotland.  To ensure that the conditions that allowed communities health and wellbeing to flourish we commissioned People Powered Results at Nesta Outside the Box to gather evidence from communities to help understand what would be needed to sustain and build upon this.

The second report in our Catalysts for Change series is People Powered Results Community Health and Wellbeing’.  It captures learning from over 100 organisations across Scotland.  It highlights the key factors which enabled a positive response to COVID-19 and also gives some insights into what needs to happen to sustain these positives shifts.

After you have read this report please could you come back and complete these few questions.  This feedback will help us design and plan for next steps which can progress this agenda.
