Across Scotland there are growing examples of a move towards community-led approaches to health and social care. These build on the legislative and policy background of empowered citizens and communities - everything from Self-directed Support and Realistic Medicine through to Community Empowerment. We have collated a set of seven examples, including one from England, all of which demonstrate different aspects of this journey towards a greater balance between professional expertise and lived experience. They are all centred around the power of a Good Conversation that recognises the strengths and assets in all our lives.
