GP Cluster Improvement Network Session 5 (March 2024): The fifth network session focused on chronic pain. We learned about quality improvement (QI) work done on chronic pain management in primary care. GP Cluster Improvement Network Session 4 (September 2023): We celebrated and reflected on a year of the network and hear about cluster working in NHS Ayrshire & Arran. GP Cluster Improvement Network Session 3 (May 2023): The third network session provided opportunities for attendees to network and connect with other colleagues supporting cluster working in Scotland. They heard about experiences of cluster working in NHS Tayside and had the opportunity to share their own experiences in small discussion groups. Topics covered included quality improvement projects being done by clusters, the use of data in cluster working, support for new CQLs and health board involvement in cluster work. Continue reading...

GP Cluster Improvement Network Microsoft Teams Launch (December 2022): We invited CQLs, PQLs and those supporting cluster working at a local and national level to join an MS Teams forum for networking, sharing resources and best practice, and contributing to the content and design of the network. 80 people signed up to join the network within two weeks of the launch. CQL Networking Session 1 (September 2022): The first meeting of the CQL Network (now renamed GP Cluster Improvement Network) was attended by 76 CQLs from across 10 NHS boards, as well as 18 non-CQLs. Attendees heard about the Scottish Government’s vision for clusters in the strategic context, learned about different engagement models and practical tools, and shared their views on what the CQL Network ought to look like going forward. GP Cluster Working Learning Cycle Report (April 2022): We undertook a learning cycle with the aim of having a better understanding of what is required for successful cluster working, what are the common barriers and enablers, and examples of good practice and/or ideas to enable successful cluster working. We interviewed a range of stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds and scanned the literature. In April 2022 we published the report summarising our findings from the learning cycle.
