GP Clusters will use data and health intelligence at a local level to consider local priorities, facilitate assurance and drive improvement in the quality of care provided by different parts of the health and social care system. With support from local LIST Analysts, GP Clusters can use data to plan improvements, assess the effectiveness of improvement through testing and monitor results when improvements are embedded into practice.

As a first step, data can be used in the following activities at both Practice and Cluster level to:

  • consider clinical priorities by conducting a population health needs analysis
  • develop Practice and Cluster Quality Improvement Plans
