Would you like to hear about how Allied Health Professionals can contribute to dementia post diagnostic support? We are delighted to welcome Elaine Hunter, Alzheimer Scotland National AHP Consultant, and Alison McKean, Alzheimer Scotland AHP Post diagnostic lead, to present on the unique contribution AHPs can offer to people with dementia.

The aim of the webex is to increase PDS Practitioner knowledge of the AHP contribution to dementia care.

Objectives:

  • Provide brief overview of policy context
  • Provide overview of AHP PDS work
  • Overview of AHP professions – who they are, their contribution to dementia care, how AHPs can contribute to PDS
  • Hints and tips – What should PDS practitioners be considering in regards to AHPs, where they can access more information about AHPs and what AHPs do.

Who should attend?
Anyone with an interest in how AHPs can contribute to dementia care.
