The ScIL Programme is a key part of Scotland’s approach to address increasing demands across public services by developing Quality Improvement (QI) capacity and capability.
The next round of recruitment for ScIL opens on Friday 18 January and closes at 10am on Friday 15 February 2019.
Two intakes
Due to high demand, there are two recruitment cohorts.
Cohorts 21 and 22 are open to colleagues working in or contributing to any area of public services in Scotland, including staff supporting the implementation of Excellence in Care.
The aim of the ScIL Programme is to enable individuals to:
- design, develop and lead improvement projects
- lead and generate support for change
- provide expert QI support and advice in their organisations.
75% of participants are from health and social care. They are brought together with committed improvers from across Scotland’s public services.
The power in sharing learning across organisational contexts is frequently cited by participants as an invaluable benefit of the programme.
Structured study and workplace learning
This 10-month programme blends structured study with workplace learning and mentor support, while enabling participants to develop support networks.
