Hospital at Home Knowledge, Skills and Development Framework

We are delighted to launch the new Hospital at Home Knowledge, Skills and Development Framework for Healthcare Support Workers, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.

Access the Hospital at Home Knowledge, Skills and Development Framework.

The framework outlines the knowledge and skills required to provide high quality acute hospital level services at home.

It is intended to support practitioners, managers, service leads, educators and those aspiring to work within Hospital at Home. You can use the framework to support development, job planning, recruitment and to prepare your Hospital at Home team to deliver specific services.

The framework has been co-produced by NHS Education for Scotland (NES) in collaboration with Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) and national Hospital at Home stakeholders.

You can also listen to our latest podcast where we discuss the framework with our colleagues from NHS Education for Scotland (NES) and Lanarkshire's Hospital at Home service. They talk about why it was needed, the benefits and how it can be used.
