This year marks the first time that the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare conference will be held in Scotland (27-29 March 2019).
It provides a fantastic opportunity for Scotland to showcase the world-leading quality improvement (QI) work being carried out across health and social care. For more information on the ihub supported sessions see below.
The upcoming International Forum's succinct theme is "people make change", which fits perfectly with our aim to "inspire others about what is possible when we take a systematic approach to improvement that puts people at its heart."
Now in its 24th year, the biannual gathering of healthcare professionals in QI and patient safety supports and energises the movement for healthcare improvement and connects healthcare leaders and practitioners worldwide to improve outcomes for patients and communities.
Site visits
During the first day on 27 March, there is a series of "experience day" visits to healthcare and other settings across Scotland which will showcase the best examples of QI in the NHS, social care and education.
Healthcare Improvement Scotland's ihub is part of visit X1 at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and X8 to NHS Ayrshire and Arran about shaping high-quality health services in a community setting.
