New Access QI improvement collaborative
Healthcare Improvement Scotland and NHS Education for Scotland are launching a new improvement collaborative to support ENT, Gynaecology and Urology to sustainably improve elective care waiting times.
The pandemic has had a significant impact on elective care waiting times.
As services re-start their efforts to recover from the pandemic, Healthcare Improvement Scotland and NHS Education for Scotland will be launching a Scottish Patient Safety Programme (SPSP)-style improvement collaborative to help Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Gynaecology and Urology services to recover and sustainably reduce waiting times.
Participating services will use quality improvement methods to undertake a thorough diagnostic to identify changes that if implemented will lead to a sustainable reduction in the number of people waiting to access care.
The new Access QI collaborative will begin recruiting services in March 2022 and will launch in May 2022. More information will be published in the coming weeks.
During recruitment, there will be Q&A drop in sessions where you can hear more about the collaborative and ask questions.
