The Scottish Improvement Leader (ScIL) programme is a key part of Scotland’s innovative approach to address increasing demand for lead level Quality Improvement capacity and capability across our public services. It develops individuals who are in key roles to be able to design, develop and lead improvement initiatives, generate support for change and provide expert support and advice.

NES are excited to announce that the next round of recruitment for ScIL is now open and due to high demand, will be recruiting 3 cohorts of this programme simultaneously.

Recruitment will close on 29th September 2017. Two recruitment streams will run concurrently.

Recruitment stream one will focus on Cohorts 11 and 13 and is open to applicants from the following groups:

  • All Health and Social Care staff including people working on Person Centered Care Programmes and Integrated Services
  • The Children and Young People Improvement Collaborative (CYPIC)
  • Scottish Government and people working in public services in Scotland

Recruitment stream two will focus on Cohort 12 and is open to applicants from nursing and midwifery staff only, as it is sponsored by the Chief Nursing Officer to build improvement capacity in these staff groups and support implementation of the Excellence in Care work programme.
