Involving and Supporting Unpaid Carers of People with Dementia
The Unpaid Carers Improvement Programme is producing a series of impact stories to highlight different local approaches and demonstrate the value of identifying, involving and supporting unpaid carers across a wide range of health services. Recently, two stories have been produced on the subject of involving and supporting carers of people accessing dementia services.
These stories have been produced in collaboration with West Lothian Dementia Services, and the Focus on Dementia programme. You can access the stories at the links below.
- Working in partnership to identify and support carers from point of diagnosis (West Lothian Dementia Services)
- Involving unpaid carers in improving care coordination for people with dementia in Inverclyde (Focus on Dementia)

We are continuing to capture and share learning from approaches to involve carers across various health settings.
