Members of Belleisle House Team have been recognised as some of the leading home care employees in Scotland at a prestigious evening awards ceremony celebrating the best of the independent care at home and housing support sector in Scotland.

Belleisle House Team from Aspire Care been named winners in the Housing Support Carer (Individual or Team) category at the Scottish Care Awards 2017. This award celebrates the significant role of carers in consistently providing a high-quality standard for people living in housing support services.

The winner was announced on 12 May at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow at an Awards Ceremony hosted by Michelle McManus, with over 400 people attending. Healthcare Improvement Scotland sponsored the category.

Team member Cassie Devlin was delighted to have been recognised and said: “We are very surprised but thrilled and honoured to be chosen as a winner in these prestigious awards.”

We are delighted to see recognition of this once again with this most recent national award that recognises the excellent and innovative services provided by our committed Belleisle Service team of staff and volunteers. Their unstinting efforts successfully help to improve the lives and the independence of the people with whom they work and for that we are truly grateful.”

The awards have been hailed a huge success in recognising individuals, teams and companies, with more entries than ever flooding in each year from employers and employees nominating their peers and colleagues.

The care awards followed a full day conference with speakers including the Cabinet Secretary for Health & Wellbeing, Shona Robison.
