Winners of Quality Improvement (QI) Awards 2019
The 2019 QI Awards attracted a wide range of strong and innovative projects across nine categories, illustrating ways in which local people and teams have improved health, early years and family services.
The QI Awards were open to those delivering quality improvement work through the Maternity and Children's Quality Improvement Collaborative (MCQIC), part of Healthcare Improvement Scotland, and the Scottish Government's Children and Young People Improvement Collaborative (CYPIC).
'Coorie-In' project wins top award
A multidisciplinary team at University Hospital Wishaw, NHS Lanarkshire, won a top award for their 'Coorie-In' project.
Their scheme, which aims to reduce avoidable term admissions from respiratory conditions by 30%, won the award in the Excellence in Using Quality Improvement (QI) in Maternity, Neonatal and Paediatric Services category.

All the winners of the 2019 QI Awards were announced at a ceremony held at the Radisson Blu hotel in Glasgow on 12 November 2019.
