Rapid Response - Admission avoidance hospital at home for older people with frailty
The guiding principles for H@H included a review of available evidence on H@H and was published in January 2020. Since its publication there have been a number of significant studies conducted in relation to H@H and therefore an updated evidence review has been produced to summarise the key findings from the most recent trials.
The evidence review considers information from a range of sources, including:
- The 2021 randomised trial: Is Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment Admission Avoidance Hospital at Home an Alternative to Hospital Admission for Older Persons?, and
- The accompanying economic evaluation
