Keeping mums-to-be reassured on pandemic policies around childbirth | from NHS Borders

Expectant mums concerned about giving birth during the pandemic have been provided with information through a Facebook page.

Face-to-face meetings and ward tours for those due to give birth have been limited due to pandemic restrictions. Setting up a Facebook page has allowed staff to keep expectant mothers up to date so they know what to expect when giving birth, including details around changes to birthing partner policies.

The page also features stories around recent births and fun videos of staff in order to reassure patients that their experience of birth will still be a positive one, even in the middle of a pandemic.
