SPSP Perinatal Webinar: The Perinatal Approach to Extreme Preterm Births: January 2024

Hosted in collaboration with the Scottish Perinatal Network (SPN), this webinar focused on exploring the importance of perinatal team collaboration and how quality improvement approaches can support the reliable delivery of person-centred, evidence-based care.

Aims of the webinar were to:

  • Share key themes from national learning of extreme preterm births at 22 weeks gestation across Scotland
  • Provide an overview of new Scottish neonatal guidance on extreme preterm births
  • Discuss learning from preterm birth clinics
  • Describe how the SPSP Perinatal programme can support teams use quality improvement approaches to optimise outcomes for preterm babies
